Why Deneb’s Corner (II)
I used to stargaze, so I used star or constellation names for my aliases.
Deneb is a star in the constellation Cygnus, or Northern Cross. This star is also part of the Summer Triangle, which include Altair, Deneb, and Vega.
These 3 bright stars form a triangle in the summer if you’re in the Northern Hemisphere.
Since I was born in the summer (and in the Northern Hemisphere), I thought it was a fitting alias at the time I created the first Deneb’s Corner.
The original Deneb’s Corner was my very first crudely made web page. I’d built it entirely with self-taught HTML (using sites such as webmonkey) freshman year of college.
Although this is only a blog and not a website, I guess it’s a memorial to that time, when I was enthusiastically learning different things outside of classes.
Symbolically, you could say that though I’m not taking classes anymore, I still hope to continue learning various new things through my experiences.
